The disclosure that appears on every page
Two Shores provides educational information and decision-support tools. It does not provide legal, tax, investment, or financial advice, is not a registered investment adviser in the US, and is not authorised by the FCA in the UK. Consult qualified professionals regarding your specific circumstances.
What that means in practice
Two Shores explains how the US and UK rules work and lays out the options people in a given situation tend to weigh. It does not tell you what to do, and it does not recommend a course of action for your particular circumstances. The numbers and outcomes you see are worked examples and calculations, not personal advice, and they depend on the facts you enter.
Regulatory status: United States
Two Shores is not a registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, a CPA firm, or a law firm, and nothing here is investment, accounting, or legal advice. For advice about your own tax or investments, consult a qualified US professional.
Regulatory status: United Kingdom
Two Shores is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and it is not a firm of solicitors or chartered accountants. Nothing here is financial, tax, or legal advice under UK law. For advice about your own situation, consult a qualified UK professional.
How our information is produced
The figures and outcomes in Two Shores come from a library of rules written against the actual US, UK, and treaty source material, with the citation shown alongside each result. Each rule is reviewed by a cross-border tax professional; until that review is complete, the tool shows a “pending independent review” note rather than presenting a number as settled. Changes are published on our changelog.
If you find an error
Accuracy is the product, so if you think a result is wrong, please tell us at hello@twoshores.app. We look into every report, correct anything that needs it, and publish the correction.
